Job summary

Gates Corporation is seeking a field-based sales professional in Australia to drive growth in the industrial belts, hoses and hydraulics space. You will lead territory sales, develop visit plans, train distributors, and build relationships with senior decision makers to achieve revenue targets.

You will travel extensively, identify new business opportunities, and maintain CRM data while collaborating with the broader Gates team to execute strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience selling industrial belts, hoses, hydraulics or similar products.
• Minimum 3 years external business development roles with sales, marketing and solution selling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Leads sales activity for the assigned territory to meet sales objectives.
• Develops a visit plan and strategy to attain company sales goals.
• Expands distributors and customers throughout the region.
• Forecasts market potential long and short-range.
• Develops action plans to penetrate new markets and customers.
• Maintains customer intimacy with senior management for key accounts.
• Delivers technical and commercial presentations and training.
• Implements business tools to motivate distributors.
• Manages performance of channel partners.
• Performs key account duties across OEMs and other key customers.
• Completes reports including CRM input.
• Supports Gates strategic plan and aligns with vision.
