Job summary

Sagemcom seeks a Field Application Engineer in Melbourne to deliver hands-on technical support for smart metering products. You will work with local leads on interoperability testing, trials, diagnostics, and deployment readiness for Australian utilities.

You will conduct on-site testing, manage RMAs, and contribute to continuous product improvement while maintaining clear reporting to stakeholders and supporting installation procedures.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electronics, telecommunications, or related field.
• Solid understanding of smart metering systems and RF comms.
• Experience with field testing and customer deployments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for smart metering products.
• Assist with interoperability testing, customer trials, and deployments.
• Manage field diagnostics, issue resolution, and RMA processes.
• Document issues and escalate with clear reporting to stakeholders.
• Support installation procedures and product readiness activities.
