Job summary

Holistic Care Nursing and Disability Services is seeking a female disability support worker to assist a participant with complex physical and healthcare needs in Forestville, NSW. This role requires a female contractor due to intimate care requirements and prior hands-on complex-care experience.

Key duties include personal care, PEG care, observations, seizures management, and hoist transfers. We offer varied shifts, competitive pay, and a supportive clinical team in the Sydney metro.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ hands-on disability or complex-care experience.
• Experience with PEG care, seizures, hypoglycaemia, continence care and manual handling.
• Relevant qualification or current nursing/allied health studies.
• Current First Aid, CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check and Australian Driver Licence.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Nursing and allied health students with relevant hands-on complex-care experience are encouraged to apply.
• This is not an entry-level role; apply only if you have direct complex-care experience.

Responsibilities

• Personal care, continence care, dressing and hygiene.

• Clinical observations and blood glucose monitoring.

• Hoist transfers, repositioning and pressure-area care.
• Light household cleaning and laundry.

Female Complex-Care Disability Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced female disability support worker to assist a participant with complex physical and healthcare needs. Due to the participant’s intimate personal-care requirements and preferences, this is a female-only role.

Key responsibilities

• Personal care, continence care, dressing and hygiene
• PEG feeding, water flushes and PEG medication
• Clinical observations and blood glucose monitoring
• Seizure management and emergency response
• Hoist transfers, repositioning and pressure-area care
• Light household cleaning and laundry
• Accurate care records, progress notes and escalation of concerns
