Job summary

Australian Country Choice's Brisbane Valley Feedlot in Queensland is seeking a Feedmill Operator to join a close-knit team of 7 on a 10/4 roster. The site is located between Esk and Gatton, with roughly 3500 cattle, offering a structured, safety-focused work environment.

You will safely operate mill machinery, weigh and mix feed rations, monitor equipment, perform basic maintenance and data entry, and support the livestock team with cattle handling skills.

Qualifications

• Competency to safely operate large scale machinery.
• Mechanically minded with basic tool/maintenance skills.
• Sound computer literacy for records and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Operating feed truck and front end loader.
• Perform basic vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Accurately follow ration formulas.
• Monitor, measure, load and weigh commodities.
• Tempering and milling grain.
• Record data and information.
• Support livestock team and learn cattle handling.
• Be flexible to undertake other duties within the feedlot.
