Job summary

JBS Beef City Feedlot in Queensland is seeking a feed hand to assist with daily Milling and Feeding team operations. Responsibilities include inspections of machinery, operating loaders and feed trucks, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating trucks, front end loaders, bobcats, tractors and related equipment.
• HR Licence and machinery tickets are an advantage but not essential.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Must have a good work ethic and be able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Undertake pre-start inspections of all machinery prior to operation.
• Report any mechanical faults to supervisor.
• Operate loaders and tractors to clean pens, load trucks and perform related tasks in a feedlot environment.
• Operate feed trucks to implement the feeding schedule as directed.
• General laboring duties as required.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment to prevent injuries and lost time.
• Additional tasks as directed by the Mill Foreperson/Supervisor and/or Feedlot Manager.
