Tassal invites applications for a Feed Technician based at our Feed Centre in Hobart. This full-time role operates on a rotating 2/2/3 roster, with salary of $75,000–$85,000 plus super per year.

Job description

Feed Technician

Reporting to the Feed Centre Team Leader, our new Feed Technician will be based at our Feed Centre in Tassal’s picturesque Head Office, located right in the heart of the CBD. This position is full time and works on a rotating 2/2/3 roster.

Salary - $75,000 - $85,000 plus super per annum.

What does your week look like?

Remote Feeding: Working from our state of the art office and using cutting edge technology, you will be responsible for feeding salmon remotely across all our marine sites to ensure the growth of high quality, healthy and sustainable salmon.

Data Analysis & IT Skills: Your passion for data interpretation will be put to good use as you make sense of various data formats. With your competent IT skills, you'll handle our current and future technology, driving the evolution of the Feed Centre.

Communication: Throughout your day, you'll work closely with key stakeholders, developing strong, collaborative relationships. Your ability and confidence to concisely communicate will be crucial in these interactions.

Team Player + Solutions Finder: As a team player and solutions finder, you'll contribute to our positive feed culture, enhancing fish performance. Your ability to utilise new and existing technology for quick decision-making and troubleshooting will be a significant part of your role.
