Job summary

The Federal Government Agency in Canberra, ACT is seeking two experienced Technical Writers / Content Designers to develop high-quality technical publications and user-focused content within a secure government environment. The roles are offered as an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options, onsite in Canberra.

Qualifications

Strong technical writing, research, editing and written communication skills.
Ability to translate complex technical information for diverse audiences.
Experience developing and publishing high-quality digital content.
Understanding of content governance, publishing risks and legal considerations.
Experience using measurement tools to evaluate content effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Supporting technical publications through research, scoping, consultation, review and publishing
Conducting research and translating complex technical information into clear, accurate and audience-appropriate content
Developing technical guidance, publications and advisory content
Creating and publishing web content, digital publications, eLearning materials and interactive content
Ensuring content is consistent with organisational messaging, branding and strategic objectives
