Job summary

Customised Farm Management, overseeing Noongaburra Farm near Hay, NSW, is seeking a reliable Farm Hand / Machinery Operator to join the team and support day-to-day cropping and farm operations.

You will operate John Deere machinery, perform pre-start checks and basic maintenance, assist with irrigation and crop production, and maintain accurate records while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in broadacre or irrigated farming preferred.
• Confident with tractors and modern agricultural machinery.
• Experience with GPS/auto-steer systems highly regarded.
• Proactive mechanical aptitude and machinery care.
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate John Deere farm machinery and precision planters.
• Perform pre-start checks, routine servicing and basic maintenance.
• Assist with irrigation operations and crop production activities.
• Maintain accurate machinery, spray and operational records.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Work independently and as part of the farm team.
