Job summary

Job description

This is a hands-on position focused on operating, servicing and looking after farm machinery and equipment. You will operate tractors, loaders, trucks and other agricultural machinery while ensuring equipment is kept clean, safe and in good working order. The role includes general machinery servicing, such as completing pre-start checks, changing oils and filters, greasing equipment, replacing worn parts and identifying maintenance issues before they become larger problems. You will also assist with general farm duties when required. This is a varied role suited to someone who takes pride in looking after machinery and enjoys practical, hands‑on work.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate tractors, loaders, trucks and other farm machinery

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience operating tractors and agricultural machinery
• A current truck licence
• Experience driving trucks safely in a farm or rural environment
• Good mechanical aptitude and an understanding of routine machinery servicing
• Confidence using hand and power tools
• The ability to complete pre-start checks and identify equipment problems
• A practical approach to maintenance and problem‑solving

Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am–4:00 pm
• Friday: 7:30 am–2:00 pm
• Morning tea break: 15 minutes
• Lunch break: 30 minutes
• Every third weekend: Approximately three hours on Saturday and Sunday for essential farm and livestock duties
