Job summary

Carr Farming is seeking a hands-on Farming Maintenance and Machine Operator to join our family business in Queensland. You will operate tractors and loaders, perform general repairs and maintenance, and support day-to-day farming operations with initiative and reliability.

The role requires practical farming experience, ability to work independently, and a focus on safety. Accommodation may be discussed; salary is negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous farm or agricultural experience – essential.
• Poultry farm experience would be an advantage.
• Experience operating tractors and loaders.
• Truck driving licence would be highly regarded.
• Good practical handyman and maintenance skills.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to service and repair farm machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operating tractors, loaders, and other farm machinery
• Operating trucks subject to appropriate licensing
• General farm maintenance and handyman duties
• Repairing and maintaining farm equipment
• Carrying out basic servicing of tractors, loaders, and other machinery
• Identifying equipment faults and completing minor mechanical repairs
• General property and infrastructure maintenance
• Assisting with poultry farm operations when required
• Maintaining equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition
• Supporting the farm management team with general operational duties
