Job summary

Latrobe Community Health Service in Sale, VIC, is seeking a qualified practitioner to provide specialist family violence support within The Orange Door initiative. This full-time permanent role focuses on safety, assessment, and interventions for women, children and families in need.

Qualifications

• Current Working with Children Check.
• Tertiary qualification (Social Work preferred).
• Minimum one year of relevant experience in family violence, family services or related field.
• Knowledge of the MARAM Framework.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Specialise in working with adults using family violence.
• Assess and manage risk using the MARAM Framework and TRAM tools.
• Consider the risks and needs of each family member, including children, in context.
• Support people to have choice and control where possible.
• Promote cultural safety and self-determination for Aboriginal people and families.
• Apply the Best Interests Case Practice Model (BICPM) to keep children safe.
• Identify barriers to engagement and tailor your approach to reduce risk and vulnerability.
