Job summary

Latrobe Community Health Service is seeking a dedicated practitioner to provide evidence-based support for women, children and families seeking safety through The Orange Door in Sale. This full-time, permanent role focuses on risk assessment and family engagement within a community health setting.

Required are a current Working with Children Check, a Social Work qualification, and at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Current Working with Children Check is required.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Social Work preferred) with compliance to mandatory minimum qualification requirements for specialist family violence practitioners.
• Minimum one year of experience in family violence, family services or related field.
• Knowledge of family violence risk assessment and management, including application of the MARAM Framework.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Specialise in working with adults using family violence.
• Assess and manage risk using the MARAM Framework and TRAM tools.
• Consider risks and needs of each family member, including children, in context.
• Support people to have choice and control where possible.
• Promote cultural safety and self-determination for Aboriginal people and families.
