Stride is seeking a part-time Support Worker to assist children, young people and families through the Stride Kids service. You will help families engage with care pathways, coordinate services and advocate for access to supports in a welcoming, family‑centred environment.

Formación

• Diploma in mental health or related discipline (ideally a completed degree).
• Experience as a Support Worker or related role.
• Understanding of mental illness and disabilities and their impact on individuals, families and communities.
• Knowledge of drugs, alcohol and illicit drug use impacting health.
• Experience in group facilitation.
• Ability to work autonomously, under supervision and as part of a team.
• Excellent listening, empathy and communication skills.
• Strong negotiation, problem solving and time management.
• Experience with families, carers, government agencies and community services.
• Willingness to abide by Disability Services Acts and WH&S Act.
• Competence with Microsoft Office.
• Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card.
• Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance.
• Current Driver's license

Responsabilidades

• Support children, young people, families and carers to engage with Stride Kids service and create a welcoming experience.
• Work with families to engage the service, navigate referrals and reduce barriers to care.
• Provide practical, emotional and systems-based support including advocacy and service coordination.
• Support intake, engagement and transition for children, young people and families.
• Develop collaborative relationships with clinicians, schools and community organisations.
• Attend and contribute to community and interagency meetings.
• Respond to issues raised by clients, carers, families and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a positive team environment.
