Job summary

DTG Talent Solutions is seeking a hands-on trades assistant for a full-time role in Nowra. You will work in a workshop environment, assisting with the preparation, processing and finishing of steel products while supporting daily factory operations.

The ideal candidate has factory or workshop experience, is proficient with cutting, grinding and drilling stainless steel, and can safely operate power tools. A positive attitude and reliable transport are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a factory, manufacturing, trade assistant or workshop setting is required.
• Ability to cut, grind and drill stainless steel or similar materials.
• Proficiency with power tools and safe workshop practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, processing and finishing of steel products.
• Support daily factory operations and maintain a safe, organised workspace.
• Operate and service workshop tools and equipment as directed.
• Collaborate with team to meet production targets.

Working alongside a skilled team, you will assist with the preparation, processing, and finishing steel products while supporting daily factory operations.

About you

• Previous experience in a similar factory, manufacturing, trade assistant, or workshop role
• Proficiency in cutting, grinding, and drilling stainless steel or similar materials.
• Experience using power tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Good organisational skills and ability to maintain a tidy workspace
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
• Must have own transport and be reliable.
