Job summary

Somersby Real Pet Food Company is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer for our Somersby manufacturing site on the Central Coast. Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering Continuous Improvement initiatives in manufacturing.
• Hands-on Lean Manufacturing experience with practical methodologies.
• Change management experience including stakeholder engagement and training.
• Strong influencing and relationship-building across all levels.
• Collaborative, consultative approach with operations realities.
• Ability to work on the shop floor alongside operators and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement across three production lines, improving productivity, efficiency, yield, quality, safety and cost.
• Spend time on the factory floor with operators and maintenance to understand end-to-end processes.
• Influence stakeholders to adopt new ways of working and gain buy-in.
• Lead change management from consultation to training and sustained implementation.
• Recognise different operator experience levels and tailor solutions accordingly.
• Map processes to identify critical control points and opportunities for improvement.
• Use root cause analysis to implement lasting fixes, not temporary ones.
• Analyse production data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, QA, NPD and others to ensure sound, feasible improvements.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation and training materials.
• Support equipment and process optimisation with internal teams, OEMs and contractors.
