Job summary

BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking a part-time Facility Cook at Minnamurra Centre in Drummoyne. You will prepare meals to meet nutritional needs per the BaptistCare menu, support the catering team, and ensure quality and compliance in food production and service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and coordinating kitchen staff.
• Ability to present food attractively.
• Sound knowledge of food cost control, ordering, and stocktaking.
• Experience cooking for large numbers.

• Excellent oral and written communication.

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant trade qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following the BaptistCare menu and dietary information system.

Job description

• Part Time Facility Cook role based at our Minnamurra Centre in Drummoyne
• Monday to Friday Shifts available 8am - 3:30pm

About the Role

As a Facility Cook, you will enable individuals to live well by delivering the nutritional requirements for the residents following the BaptistCare menu and dietary information system. You understand the role food plays in sustenance, enjoyment, and connecting community, and you’ll work to bring this to fruition. You will support the catering operation and team, and in the Chef Manager's absence, you will ensure food production, service standards, and compliance are maintained

We offer a competitive salary based on your previous experience from $30.31 - $32.61/hr + superannuation + penalties + salary packaging.
