Job summary

BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking an enthusiastic Chef for Prestons, NSW, to deliver exceptional meals in an aged care setting. This part-time role runs afternoon shifts (11am–6pm) at Blue Hills Manor, offering a meaningful contribution and a chance to impact residents’ daily lives.

With a recognised Commercial Cookery qualification and 3–5 years’ experience, you will lead a kitchen team, design resident menus, and uphold HACCP principles in a supportive, values-based workplace that offers career

Qualifications

• Qualified in Commercial Cookery with Cert III or equivalent.
• 3–5 years cooking in aged care or similar environment.
• Experience applying HACCP principles and leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of food quality and service in the kitchen.
• Lead the kitchen team and ensure a positive work environment.
• Design menus with residents and incorporate local flavours.
• Collaborate with care staff to support residents' wellbeing.

About the role

Located at Prestons, Blue Hills Manor Aged Care Home is a welcoming and homely aged care home offering 24-hour, care and support to residents.This is more than a Chef role. It’s a chance tocreate moments: comfort, celebration, and connection — through truly great food.
