BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking a part-time Facility Cook at Minnamurra Centre in Drummoyne. You will prepare meals to meet nutritional needs per the BaptistCare menu, support the catering team, and ensure quality and compliance in food production and service.

We value experience in large-scale cooking, staff leadership, and a commitment to elderly care. The role offers a competitive hourly rate with penalties, superannuation, and salary packaging options.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and coordinating kitchen staff.
• Ability to present food attractively.
• Sound knowledge of food cost control, ordering, and stocktaking.
• Experience cooking for large numbers.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Desire to work with the elderly within our values.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant trade qualifications.

Responsabilités

• Prepare meals following the BaptistCare menu and dietary information system.
• Support catering operation and team; maintain service standards.
• In the Chef Manager's absence, ensure food production, service standards and compliance.
• Maintain food safety and kitchen hygiene.
