Job summary

Knight Frank Australia is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead the day-to-day management of commercial buildings in the Canberra area. This hands-on, site-based role covers maintenance, inspections, compliance, and administrative support across multiple properties.

You will coordinate contractors, manage licences and documentation, and liaise with tenants and partners to uphold presentation and service standards. A valid Australian working right and a contractor-friendly approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in commercial facilities operations, including maintenance coordination and contractor management.
• Experience with administration and compliance tasks, such as contractor documentation, invoice processing and record keeping.
• Qualifications in Facilities Management or related field are beneficial, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day facilities management of commercial buildings.
• Coordinate contractors and maintenance works (planned and reactive) and follow jobs through to completion.
• Carry out site inspections to identify issues and take action to resolve maintenance, presentation and compliance concerns.
• Manage contractor compliance, including licences, insurances and site documentation.
• Support facilities administration, including purchase orders, invoicing and reporting.
• Work across multiple sites and build strong relationships with clients, tenants and stakeholders.
