Job summary

The Facilities Manager will lead operational performance, maintenance, compliance, and long-term asset strategy for a portfolio of purpose-built student accommodation communities, reporting to the Portfolio Manager and driving resident experiences.

Responsibilities include managing contractors, capital works, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory compliance to ensure safe, efficient environments from pre-opening

Qualifications

• Significant facilities management experience within residential, hospitality, property, accommodation, or related sectors.
• Strong technical expertise across HVAC, fire safety, electrical, security, plumbing, and building systems.
• Demonstrated success managing contractors, maintenance programmes, compliance obligations, and service delivery standards.
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management frameworks, and statutory building requirements.
• Exceptional communication, financial management, stakeholder engagement, and leadership capabilities with a hands-on approach.

Purpose

The Facilities Manager is responsible for leading the operational performance, maintenance, compliance, and long-term asset strategy of a portfolio of purpose-built student accommodation communities. Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, this role provides leadership across building operations, contractor management, capital works, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory compliance, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused environments from pre-opening through ongoing operations while supporting exceptional resident experiences.
