Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager in Melbourne to lead a high-profile government portfolio. You will oversee a diverse property mix, ensure safe and compliant operations, manage budgets and engage stakeholders across landlords, contractors and internal teams.

Based in Melbourne or Sydney, you will drive continuous improvement, manage incidents, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes while meeting contractual obligations and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Facilities Management or related field.
• Strong knowledge of building operations, maintenance and contractor management.
• Experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities across a diverse portfolio.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of client properties across the WOAG account.
• Act as the primary point of contact for reactive maintenance issues and critical incidents.
• Coordinate contractors and service providers to ensure compliance with SLAs and statutory requirements.
• Conduct property inspections, audits and compliance assessments, including NABERS-related activities.
• Develop and maintain asset lifecycle plans and asset registers.
• Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance programs.
• Manage operational budgets, maintenance expenditure, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Approve and reconcile invoices and ensure financial controls are maintained.
• Build strong relationships with clients, landlords, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure service delivery meets contractual obligations and KPIs.
• Support business continuity planning, crisis management and incident response activities.
• Drive innovation, process improvement and operational efficiencies.
• Maintain accurate systems, records and reporting.
• Participate in audits and ensure compliance with WHS&E requirements.
