Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to join the Charter Hall Office account in Sydney CBD. This hub-based role provides hands-on exposure across eight premium assets and learning from experienced site-based Facilities Managers.

This is a genuine learning role suitable for those with facilities, property, building operations or related transferable skills, offering mentoring and a clear development pathway.

Qualifications

• Some experience in facilities, property, building operations or a trade is ideal but not essential.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills are valuable for this hub-based role.
• A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage priorities across multiple sites is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operations of 8 premium commercial office assets across the Sydney CBD portfolio.
• Provide hub coverage across sites, stepping in during leave periods and busy operational phases.
• Coordinate planned, preventative and reactive maintenance, site inspections and compliance reporting.
• Support portfolio projects, minor works and operational improvement initiatives, including coordination, documentation and stakeholder follow-up.
• Build working relationships with occupiers, contractors and Charter Hall stakeholders.
• Build technical FM knowledge through hands-on experience and mentoring from senior Facilities Managers across the account.
