Job summary

NSW Health Pathology is seeking a motivated Facilities & Logistics Officer to join the Facilities Management Unit in Lidcombe. You will coordinate logistics, stores and facilities support to ensure efficient services across the campus.

The role reports to the Senior Facilities Manager and involves stock control, fleet operations, and stakeholder liaison with a focus on compliance and customer service. 38 hours per week, permanent full time.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks, exercising independent judgement, discretion and initiative, prioritising work and meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support a diverse team including setting priorities, coordinating task allocation and lead, coach and mentor staff to achieve team and service objectives.
• People management capability including staff support and development, performance management, early identification and management of behavioural issues, demonstrated skills in problem solving, conflict resolution and risk management.
• High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing quality customer-focused service and applying quality improvement initiatives to workplace practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics, stores and facilities support functions while providing high-level operational, administrative and clerical support to the Facilities Management Unit (FMU).
• Ensure stores operations including stock and non-stock goods, laboratory gas management, courier services and fleet operations run smoothly.
• Support workflow management, projects, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop effective stakeholder relationships and ensure services are delivered in a compliant, customer-focused and efficient manner.
