Job summary

NSW Health Pathology is seeking a motivated and organised Facilities & Logistics Officer to join the Facilities Management Unit (FMU) within the Forensic & Analytical Science Service (FASS). In this position, you'll support logistics, stores, administrative services and other FMU functions to ensure the efficient delivery of facilities management services across the Lidcombe campus.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support a diverse team including setting priorities, coordinating task allocation and lead, coach and mentor staff to achieve team and service objectives.
• People management capability including staff support and development, performance management, issue identification and resolution, risk management.
• High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to quality customer-focused service and applying quality improvement initiatives.
• Proficient skills and experience in MS Office applications and Oracle/online ordering systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics, stores and facilities support functions while providing high-level operational, administrative and clerical support to the FMU.
• Report to the Senior Facilities Manager and coordinate stores operations, including stock, non-stock goods, laboratory gas management, courier services and fleet operations.
• Support workflow management, projects, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop effective stakeholder relationships and ensure services are delivered in a compliant and efficient manner.

What You'll Be Doing

The Facilities & Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating logistics, stores and facilities support functions while providing high-level operational, administrative and clerical support to the Facilities Management Unit (FMU). Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, the position coordinates stores operations, including stock and non-stock goods, laboratory gas management, courier services and fleet operations, while supporting workflow management, projects, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. The role also develops effective stakeholder relationships and ensures services are delivered in a compliant, customer-focused and efficient manner.
