Job summary

Department of Primary Industries (Queensland) is seeking a Facilities Officer to lead the delivery of facilities, fleet and asset management services that support program operations. You will provide expert advice, oversee resources and contracts, and drive continuous improvement for safe, efficient service delivery.

The role requires a current C class licence, the ability to lift up to 20kg, and capacity to drive for extended periods.

Qualifications

• A current C class driver's licence.
• The ability to safely lift and move items up to 20kg.
• The capacity to drive for extended periods as part of operational requirements.
• A Forklift Licence is desirable but not essential.
• You will bring experience in facilities, fleet or asset management, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead facilities, fleet and asset operations to ensure resources, infrastructure and maintenance activities support operational requirements.
• Provide expert facilities management advice and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery, compliance and efficiency.
• Manage contracts, procurement activities and stakeholder relationships to deliver cost-effective facilities services and strong business outcomes.
