Job summary

Think Commercial is seeking a proactive Facilities Manager for Cairns-based duties including maintenance delivery and planning across a portfolio from Cairns to Townsville and Brisbane. You will lead a small team, respond to unplanned issues, and ensure high safety and compliance standards.

The role requires strong organisation, communication, and computer skills, plus a valid Australian driving license and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year experience in a similar position.
• Strong organisational and computer skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of safe work practices.
• Must have a valid Australian Driving License.
• Willing to work outside of normal operating hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team to deliver day-to-day cleaning, gardening, and maintenance.
• Respond to unplanned maintenance in a timely manner.
• Maintain building operations and cost-efficient management.
• Develop and manage building condition reports and lifecycle plans.
• Manage operating expenditures and assist budgeting processes.
• Contractor management and service agreements oversight.
• Investigate maintenance issues for proactive response and improvement.
• Maintain open communication with stakeholders, contractors and tenants.
• Establish systems to improve service delivery, safety, and sustainability.
• Manage on-call roster for reliable coverage.
