Job summary

Urban Utilities is looking for a Facilities & Fire System Project Manager to oversee the Delivery Partner responsible for maintaining fire systems across treatment plants, depots and offices in South East Queensland. You will ensure compliance with Australian Standards and Building Fire Safety Regulation, delivering on-time maintenance programs and timely defect closures.

You will work within Maintenance Services, collaborating with Operations, Asset Management and Capital Delivery to provide

Qualifications

• Degree in project management or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Minimum 5 years' project management experience, with oversight of fire systems and/or facilities maintenance.
• Working knowledge of AS 1851, other Australian Standards and Queensland fire safety/building legislation.
• Experience managing contracted service providers and performance monitoring.
• Exposure to assurance, audit or compliance frameworks (ISO 9001, ISO 55001).

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of fire system maintenance, inspection and testing by the Delivery Partner.
• Monitor maintenance schedules, test results and defect rectification.
• Support planning and coordination of broader facilities maintenance across electrical, HVAC, building, plumbing and access systems.
• Track program performance, budget and expenditure, reporting on trends and risks to stakeholders.
• Apply assurance and audit frameworks to maintenance activity and drive corrective action.
