Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Sydney is seeking a proactive Safety Advisor, Administrator or Facilities Coordinator to drive safety, quality and compliance across a major education portfolio. You will partner with contractors and client stakeholders to maintain high standards across maintenance delivery.

You will conduct audits, onboarding and reporting, support incident investigations and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in workplace safety or as a facilities coordinator seeking safety exposure.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and contractor management.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
• High attention to detail and reporting ability.
• Comfortable using MS Office (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Support health, safety, quality and compliance activities across the contract.
• Conduct audits of contractor safety documentation including SWMS, toolbox talks and licenses.
• Monitor contractor compliance with WHS reporting and legislative obligations.
• Facilitate consultation, cooperation and coordination between contractors and stakeholders.
• Review asbestos registers, hazardous materials registers and site compliance requirements.
• Manage contractor and employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Monitor training records and ensure mandatory training requirements are completed.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual compliance reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
• Support operational teams during periods of high demand and workforce absences.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.

About the Role

We're seeking a proactive and solutions-focused Safety Advisor, Administrator or Facilities Coordinator for a Safety & Compliance Advisor role in our team supporting a major Schools Infrastructure portfolio.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys building relationships, driving compliance and influencing positive safety cultures. Working closely with operational teams, contractors and client stakeholders, you'll help ensure the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance are maintained across maintenance delivery programs.

You'll play a key role in contractor engagement, auditing, reporting, onboarding and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting operational delivery teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Experience in workplace safety, or a facilities coordinator with an interest in gaining experience in safety
• Strong stakeholder engagement and contractor management skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• High attention to detail and strong reporting capability
• Confident using Microsoft Office including Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint
