Job summary

Northern Beaches Council is seeking a Maintenance Officer for a permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week) in the Property, Buildings & Beach Services unit. Based on the Northern Beaches, this position offers a stable career with the council's commitment to the community.

You will perform general building and property maintenance, install and repair locks and handles, gates and fences, shelving, and flat-pack furniture assembly.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general building and property maintenance, including installation, repair and adjustment of locks and handles, gate and fence repairs, shelving installation, and flat-pack furniture assembly.
• Manage daily customer maintenance tasks and workloads efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Provide effective communication and build strong relationships with direct staff and all stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to council WHS workplace safety standards by conducting risk assessments and enforcing safe work practices.
