Job summary

University of New South Wales is seeking a Manager, Facilities Assurance and Operational Readiness to lead an independent FM audit framework and oversee the transition of new and refurbished assets into Facilities Management. The role focuses on control effectiveness, safety compliance, and contractor management across building services and assets, reporting to the Senior Manager.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in asset management, engineering, construction management, quality assurance, or facilities management across complex infrastructure environments.
• Experience leading asset handovers from construction into operations with DLP governance, commissioning, and fire safety compliance.
• Strong knowledge of building services, building fabric, and related codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an independent Facilities Management audit and assurance framework to evaluate control effectiveness, statutory compliance, and contractor management across UNSW facilities.
• Leverage data insights and dashboards to evaluate building performance, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvements.
• Maintain central oversight of audit findings, prioritise risks, and integrate actions into maintenance plans and capital priorities.
• Design and govern end‑to‑end operational readiness frameworks for transitioning new or refurbished assets into Facilities Management.
• Establish standardised handover requirements for asset data, O&M documentation, certifications, warranties, and fire safety compliance.
