Job summary

Northern Beaches Council is seeking a Facilities Officer for a permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week) based in Sydney's Northern Beaches. The role focuses on managing operational and technical facilities management, including preventive and reactive maintenance, procurement, and contractor oversight.

The successful candidate will coordinate with external service providers, develop technical specifications, and drive timely, customer-centred outcomes for the council’s facilities and assets.

Responsibilities

• Manage all operational and technical aspects of facilities management for preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Procurement and contract management including preparation of technical specifications and defining scope of works for tender documents.
• Oversee external service providers to meet performance objectives through effective communication and negotiation.
• Build and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely, customer-focused solutions.
