Job description

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership, follows things through and gets things done. Reporting to the General Manager Operations, you will work closely with the General Manager Property, Operations team, tenants, contractors and service providers to ensure maintenance, facilities services, infrastructure works and asset requirements are properly coordinated and completed.

The Pooraka precinct covers approximately 42 hectares and supports up to 200 leases, licences and tenancy arrangements. It is a complex operational environment with a diverse range of buildings, infrastructure, plant and essential services.

There is no typical day. You might be coordinating an urgent electrical or plumbing repair, meeting a contractor on site, obtaining quotes for upcoming works, inspecting a maintenance issue with a tenant, following up overdue preventative maintenance, checking statutory servicing, helping prepare a tender or making sure yesterday's jobs have actually been completed and closed out. You will have support from the General Manager Operations, General Manager Property and specialist contractors, but you will be expected to take responsibility for progressing work without needing to be continually followed up.
