Job summary

Cathay Chung Yue Estate Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Facade Site Engineer to join our team in Sydney on a full-time basis. You will oversee facade installations, coordinate with architects and contractors, and ensure compliance with Australian standards and safety rules.

With a strong background in facade systems, you will drive quality control, manage schedules, and provide technical guidance to site teams across commercial and residential projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years in facade engineering or site supervision on commercial/residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of facade systems, curtain walls, glazing, cladding, waterproofing, envelopes.
• Familiar with NCC, Australian Standards (AS/NZS) and relevant building codes.
• Ability to read drawings and technical docs; coordinate multiple trades on site.
• Commitment to quality assurance, safety and project compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise facade installation on site and ensure adherence to design specs.
• Conduct site inspections and address defects or non-conformances.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and suppliers.
• Maintain site documentation including reports, QA records and progress updates.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, standards and safety regulations.
• Manage schedule adherence and escalate delays to management.
• Perform quality control inspections and material testing as required.
• Support development of facade construction methodologies and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams and resolve facade-related issues.
