Job summary

Wanless Waste Management is seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our maintenance team across Kemps Creek, Seven Hills, Artarmon and Smithfield sites in Sydney. The role requires hands-on fabrication and welding of heavy plant components in a fast-paced environment, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and participate in preventive maintenance while documenting work in our MMS Service Manager system.

Qualifications

• Qualified Fabricator/Welder with Certificate III in Engineering.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on heavy plant or industrial equipment.
• Able to read technical drawings and follow specifications.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, weld, modify and repair components for heavy fixed and mobile plant across Kemps Creek, Seven Hills, Artarmon and Smithfield sites.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical repairs to minimise downtime.
• Record work in MMS Service Manager and support continuous improvement.
