Job summary

Workfast is seeking an experienced Fabricator to join the workshop team of a leading engineering company in St Marys, NSW. This hands-on role involves welding, fabrication, and structural repairs on automotive parts, conveyors and plant machinery.

You will interpret drawings, operate oxy/acetylene cutting equipment and grinders, and work Monday to Friday with 7am to 3/4pm hours. The position offers temp-to-perm prospects in a clean, professional workshop.

Qualifications

• Solid welding and fabrication experience in heavy industrial environments.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and work to specifications.
• Familiarity with structural steel repair and assembly.
• Safety-focused, reliable, and physically capable of workshop work.
• Forklift licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding and fabrication on automotive parts, conveyors and bulk handling products, earthmoving and plant machinery repairs, custom toolboxes and more.
• Carry out fabrication tasks from engineering drawings and specifications
• Conduct inspections and repairs of heavy steel frames and structural parts

• Assist in general workshop activities and maintain safe work practices

Pay Rate: $47.00 per hour + Overtime + Super
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3/4pm
Start Date: ASAP

This is a hands-on role involving welding, fabrication, and structural repairs. Offering consistent full-time hours and the potential for a permanent role, this position suits experienced welders/fabricators seeking stable workshop work.
