Job summary

Digga Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a professional Fabrication Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team in the Gold Coast region. You will oversee daily fabrication operations, coordinate crews, and ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are followed in a busy workshop.

The role requires practical leadership, strong fabrication knowledge, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of manufacturing experience with prior team leadership.
• Strong fabrication knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant technical qualification and/or equivalent industry experience.
• Ability to meet schedules, safety requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervising daily fabrication operations to ensure schedules and targets are met.
• Coordinating work crews, allocating resources and monitoring production performance.
• Identifying and reporting production delays, material variances and quality issues.
• Ensuring products meet specifications, drawings and SOPs.
• Managing stock, materials and equipment to minimise waste and maintain accuracy.
• Support hands-on leadership and promote safe, efficient workshop practices.

Job description

The opportunity now exists for a professional and driven Fabrication Supervisor to join our team. You will have proven experience leading people in a manufacturing environment, with strong fabrication knowledge and the ability to coordinate production activities to meet schedules, quality standards and safety requirements. You will be a hands-on leader who supports their team and promotes an efficient, safe and organised workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising daily fabrication operations to ensure production schedules and targets are achieved.
• Coordinating work crews, allocating resources and monitoring production performance.
• Identifying and reporting production delays, material variances and quality issues.
• Ensuring products meet specifications, drawings and standard operating procedures.
• Managing stock, materials and equipment to minimise waste and maintain accuracy.
• Relevant technical qualification and/or equivalent industry experience.
• 5-10 years of manufacturing experience, previous team leadership experience essential.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and production operations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• High level of integrity, accountability and discretion.
