Job summary

Digga is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor in Queensland to lead a manufacturing team, coordinate production activities, ensure safety and quality, and drive efficient workshop operations. You will oversee fabrication processes, interpret drawings, and promote a high standard of workmanship.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a track record of meeting deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years manufacturing experience, with team leadership.
• Relevant technical qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily fabrication operations to meet schedules.
• Coordinate work crews, allocate resources and monitor performance.
• Identify delays, material variances and quality issues.
• Ensure products meet specifications and SOPs.
• Manage stock, materials and equipment to minimise waste.
• Promote safety, integrity, and accountability in the workshop.
• Support team and drive continuous improvement.

About the role:

The opportunity now exists for a professional and driven Fabrication Supervisor to join our team. You will have proven experience leading people in a manufacturing environment, with strong fabrication knowledge and the ability to coordinate production activities to meet schedules, quality standards and safety requirements. You will be a hands‑on leader who supports their team and promotes an efficient, safe and organised workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising daily fabrication operations to ensure production schedules and targets are achieved.
• Coordinating work crews, allocating resources and monitoring production performance.
• Identifying and reporting production delays, material variances and quality issues.
• Ensuring products meet specifications, drawings and standard operating procedures.
• Managing stock, materials and equipment to minimise waste and maintain accuracy.
• Relevant technical qualification and/or equivalent industry experience.
• 5–10 years of manufacturing experience, previous team leadership experience essential.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and production operations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• High level of integrity, accountability and discretion.
