Job summary

Tech Mahindra in Sydney is seeking a full-time on-site F5 Architect cum SME to design and implement F5-based network and application delivery architectures. You will lead cross-functional teams and develop architecture runbooks to guide project design and operations.

You will mentor engineers, drive secure, scalable solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve infrastructure and security practices across enterprise environments.

Qualifications

Role Description

This full-time, on-site F5 Architect cum SME role is based in Sydney, NSW. The role involves designing and implementing F5-based network and application delivery architectures, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions that meet enterprise requirements. Responsibilities include working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate F5 technologies into existing environments, troubleshooting complex issues, and optimizing configurations for availability, security, and performance. The F5 Architect cum SME will provide technical leadership, create architectural documentation and standards, and guide project teams through solution design, implementation, and transition to operations. The role also includes collaborating with stakeholders, conducting technical reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement of infrastructure and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong architecture and architectural design skills, with experience defining and implementing F5-based solutions and broader network/application delivery architectures.
• Hands-on expertise in integration and software development related to F5 technologies (e.g., iRules, automation scripts, APIs) to support seamless deployment and operations.
• Solid project management capabilities to plan, coordinate, and deliver F5-related initiatives, including stakeholder communication and risk management.
• Deep knowledge of F5 platforms (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, APM, etc.), load balancing, SSL offloading, web application firewall, and application security practices.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise or telecom environments, with a focus on high availability, performance tuning, and resilience.
• Proficiency in networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls), security standards, and related infrastructure technologies.
• Lead F5 implementation activities across multiple projects and initiatives.
• Execute platform deployments, migrations, and configuration changes.
• Develop implementation plans, rollback procedures, and testing approaches.
• Support application onboarding and production release activities.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation, solution designs, and runbooks, and to mentor team members on F5 and architectural best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; relevant F5 or network/security certifications are
• F5 Certified Administrator (F5-CA)
