Job summary

SkyPoint on the Gold Coast is seeking a dynamic leader to supervise Attendants during events and manage day-to-day operations in the Bistro & Bar. You will roster staff, run pre-shift briefings, coordinate setup and pack down, and handle guest inquiries to ensure a memorable guest experience.

This full-time role requires energy, commitment and a passion for guest service, with access to leadership training, uniformed teams, onsite parking and generous venue perks.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a high-volume events or hospitality setting.
• Passion and enthusiasm for delivering outstanding guest service.
• Ability to lead by example, train, coach and motivate frontline staff.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks.
• Availability to roster across five days, including weekends, mornings and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise SkyPoint Attendants during events, ensuring exceptional service and guest interaction.
• Lead day-to-day shift operations in the Bistro & Bar for smooth service delivery.
• Manage staff breaks and rostering to maintain adequate service coverage.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings with key operational updates and daily objectives.
• Oversee event setup, operation and pack down; manual handling tasks are common.
• Collaborate with the Events Manager and team to ensure smooth event execution.
• Handle guest inquiries during events and provide timely resolutions.
• Provide training for event and F&B staff to meet event demands.
• Ensure venue spaces meet cleanliness and presentation standards before, during and after events.

To be successful, you should have:

• Previous leadership experience within a similar high-volume events or hospitality environment;
• Passion and enthusiasm for delivering an outstanding guest service experience;
• Ability to lead by example, train, coach and motivate and engage team members at the frontline;
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills;
• Experience working with POS Database Systems and competent cash handling/management;
• Ability to perform manual handling and physically demanding work tasks;
• Availability to be rostered across five days flexibility with working hours is essential as weekend, early morning and evening work is involved.

Your new day-to-day:

• Lead and supervise SkyPoint Attendants during events, ensuring exceptional customer service and guest interaction.
• Lead day-to-day shift operations in our Bistro & Bar, ensuring smooth service delivery.
• Manage staff breaks and ensure efficient rostering to maintain adequate service coverage at all times.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings, communicating key operational updates, menu changes, and daily objectives to the team.
• Oversee event setup, operation, and pack down. Manual handling tasks are heavily included in this position.
• Collaborate with the Events Manager and other team members to ensure smooth event execution.
• Handle guest inquiries during events, ensuring timely resolution and a positive experience.
• Provide training for event and F&B staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills to meet event demands.
• Ensure venue and event spaces meet cleanliness and presentation standards before, during, and after events.
