GT Recycling is seeking an Extruder Operator to run extrusion equipment for recycled plastic pellets in a full-time night-shift role. You will monitor equipment, adjust process settings and maintain production records in a safety- and quality-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating extrusion or similar manufacturing equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret and adjust process settings.
• Demonstrated focus on workplace safety and following procedures.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently on night shift.
• Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
• Experience in plastics, recycling or manufacturing environments (advantage).

Responsibilities

Job Description

As an Extruder Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion equipment used in the production of recycled plastic pellets. This role suits someone mechanically minded, safety-focused, and confident working with industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment. Operate, monitor and adjust extrusion equipment to ensure consistent product quality.

• Set and manage process parameters including temperature, pressure and feed rates
• Conduct routine machine checks, cleaning and basic preventive maintenance
• Troubleshoot operational issues and elevate technical faults where required
• Maintain accurate production records and contribute to thorough shift handovers
• Uphold safety, quality and environmental standards at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation around the extruder and production floor
