Job summary

Laverton North, VIC-based high-tech plastics recycling facility is seeking an experienced Extruder Operator for an ongoing night shift roster (Tue–Thu 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; Fri 5:00 PM–9:00 PM). You will operate and monitor extrusion equipment, set and troubleshoot machinery, and monitor production output and quality while following WHSE and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating extrusion equipment or working in plastics manufacturing
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Good fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• A strong commitment to safety and quality
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in blow moulding, injection moulding or thermoforming will also be considered
• Current driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle – essential
• Valid Australian working rights

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor extrusion equipment and production processes
• Set, adjust and troubleshoot machinery
• Monitor production output and product quality
• Identify and respond to operational issues
• Follow all WHSE, safety and operating procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean and efficient production environment
