Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementation and evaluation of OSHC and Vacation Care programs.

The Opportunity

We welcome expressions of interest seeking enthusiastic Unqualified OSHC Educators to join our school on a casual basis. In this role, you will work under general supervision as a qualified educator supporting St Martin de Porres School in the provision of a quality OSHC service. The Educator will be responsible for assisting the OSHC service to lead a balanced and engaging learning environment which is centred upon the needs of the children and outlined in the National Quality Standards.

Hours are available in Before School, After School and Vacation Care.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of OSHC and Vacation Care programs.
• Support children’s wellbeing, inclusion and daily routines, including personal care where required.
• Foster positive, respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, School and Service policies and the National Quality Framework.
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist with general administrative tasks.

• Experience working with children, including children with additional needs (highly desirable).
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow procedures in varied situations.
• Physical capability to engage in active play and safely set up resources.
• A clear understanding of professional boundaries, confidentiality and duty of care.

Essential Requirements

• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN) certification.
• Approved First Aid qualification (HLTAID012), including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis (as per ACECQA requirements).
• Do Food Safely certificate.
• National Child Safety Training (ECEC) certification.
• Ability to meet Work Health and Safety obligations.
