Job summary

Fitness Cartel Health Clubs is launching a brand-new Cairns club and seeks an experienced Retail Manager to lead the pro‑shop and café operations. You will drive sales, coach the retail team and ensure exceptional customer experiences at the new venue.

You’ll work with the Customer Service Manager and Club GM to establish strong retail operations, maximise profitability and maintain brand standards across the Cairns location.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ retail sales supervisory experience, ideally in fitness, nutrition or supplements.
• Experience in a KPI-driven environment and achieving sales targets.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and influence customers.
• Customer-focused, solutions-oriented approach.
• Proven ability to coach, motivate and lead a team.
• Passion for health and the Fitness Cartel brand.
• Proactive, reliable and professional with attention to detail.
• Computer literacy and ability to learn new systems.

• Prepare staff rosters and ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.

Expression of Interest: Retail Manager - Cairns

Fitness Cartel Health Clubs is bringing a brand-new club to Cairns, and we’re seeking expressions of interest from experienced Retail Managers who want to help launch and grow an exciting new facility.

We’re more than a gym. With plans to expand to 60+ clubs by 2030, our state-of-the-art facilities include Cycle Studios, Reformer Pilates, cafés, crèches, saunas and premium training spaces.

The Role

Retail Managers are a key part of the “engine room” of our clubs. As the face of the Pro-Shop and Barbell Café, you’ll lead the retail team, maximise sales opportunities and help deliver exceptional customer experiences.

You’ll work closely with the Customer Service Manager and Club General Manager to establish strong retail operations at our new Cairns location.
