Job summary

MAYDAY Recruitment Group in Sydney is seeking experienced Customer Service Insurance Agents to support inbound and retention teams across busy contact centres. Immediate start for 3-6 month temporary assignments, full-time hours, with a hourly rate of $38-40 plus super.

You will handle high-volume calls across multiple insurance products (home, pet, boat), assist with renewals and policy changes, and focus on retaining customers through effective conversations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume contact centre preferred.
• Insurance product knowledge is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and customer service focus.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations confidently.

Responsibilities

• Handle high volume inbound/outbound customer calls.
• Respond to policy enquiries across home, pet, boat insurance.
• Assist with policy renewals, premiums, changes and account maintenance.

MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with leading insurance clients across Sydney CBD and North Sydney as they prepare for a busy period, with multiple opportunities available for experienced Customer Service Insurance Agents across inbound and retentions teams.

• Employment type: 3-6-month temporary assignments, full-time work
• Hourly rate: $38-40 p/h + super
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 7pm (roster shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage high volume of inbound and outbound customer calls in a busy contact centre environment.
• Respond to customer enquiries across multiple insurance products, including home, pet and boat insurance.
• Assist customers with policy renewals, premium enquiries, policy changes and general account maintenance.
• Handle retention conversations, identifying opportunities to retain existing customers and reduce policy cancellations.

The ideal candidate:

• Previous experience in a contact centre or high-volume customer service environment - insurance experience preferred
• Strong communication skills with a genuine focus on customer care and the ability to handle difficult conversations confidently.
• High attention to detail with a results focused approach
• Confident using Microsoft Office and online systems
