G4S Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Melbourne-based leader to take end-to-end responsibility for the Court Services Victoria contract. You will oversee statewide security operations across courts, balance commercial and operational demands, and serve as the primary liaison for senior client stakeholders.

Regular travel to metro and regional courts is required, with after-hours readiness for critical incidents.

• Monitor service-level compliance, conduct audits, lead corrective action programs, and deliver measurable improvements.

About the role and team

Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Government Services, you will take end-to-end leadership of our Court Services Victoria contract to ensure safe, secure, and respectful environments across all Victorian courts. In this high-accountability role, you will balance disciplined commercial management with frontline operational safety, drive team capability, and serve as the trusted primary liaison for senior client stakeholders.

This Melbourne-based position requires regular travel to metropolitan and regional court facilities, as well as operational availability to manage critical incident escalations when required.

In this role you will

• Lead statewide security operations across metropolitan and regional courts—overseeing screening, control rooms, emergency management, and after-hours alarm responses while maintaining robust operational capability and contingency planning.
• Drive full P&L accountability, managing budgets, forecasts, margins, and contract variations while proactively mitigating commercial risks.
• Serve as the key partner to Court Services Victoria (CSV) stakeholders, leading governance forums, managing escalations, and delivering transparent performance reporting.
• Lead and mentor operational managers, strengthen workforce planning and retention, and cultivate a culture anchored in safety, accountability, and respectful service.
• Monitor service-level compliance, conduct proactive audits, lead corrective action programs, and deliver measurable operational enhancements.

What we're looking for

• Experience leading complex, regulated service contracts and multi-tiered teams, with proven accountability for operational, client, and financial performance.
• Strong capability to navigate contracts, manage P&L drivers, and negotiate effectively while safeguarding service standards and safety.
• Comfortable making high-stakes decisions under pressure, addressing sensitive issues candidly, and translating performance data into clear, practical outcomes.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications (Business, Risk, Security, or Commercial Management) or equivalent leadership experience. Prior background in courts, justice, or government services is highly regarded.
