Job summary

Export Air is seeking an experienced Wholesale Coordinator to join our Sydney team. The role focuses on coordinating export airfreight shipments from booking to completion and maintaining strong relationships with customers, airlines and industry partners.

You will liaise with clients to understand requirements, provide professional support, and ensure accurate documentation and timely invoicing while meeting KPIs in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years' experience in export freight forwarding
• Experience as Export Coordinator, preferably within airfreight
• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, customs terminology and processes
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate export airfreight shipments from booking through to completion
• Liaise with existing and new customers to understand their requirements and provide professional support
• Maintain clear and timely communication with customers, providing shipment updates, guidance, and enquiry resolution
• Ensure customer KPIs are consistently achieved
• Accurately process and maintain shipment information within CargoWise
• Negotiate competitive rates and maintain strong relationships with airlines and other service providers
• Prepare and complete export documentation accurately and within required timeframes
• Complete billing and invoicing processes accurately and on time
• Ensure compliance with relevant customs, airline and Dangerous Goods requirements

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Export Air Coordinator to join our Sydney team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment, has a strong customer focus and takes pride in delivering accurate, reliable and professional service. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating export airfreight shipments while building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, airlines and industry partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate export airfreight shipments from booking through to completion
• Liaise with existing and new customers to understand their requirements and provide professional support
• Maintain clear and timely communication with customers, providing shipment updates, guidance, and enquiry resolution
• Ensure customer KPIs are consistently achieved
• Accurately process and maintain shipment information within CargoWise
• Negotiate competitive rates and maintain strong relationships with airlines and other service providers
• Prepare and complete export documentation accurately and within required timeframes
• Complete billing and invoicing processes accurately and on time
• Ensure compliance with relevant customs, airline and Dangerous Goods requirementsWork closely with customers, airlines, suppliers, warehouse staff and internal teams to ensure smooth shipment coordination

About you

• 4–5 years' experience in export freight forwarding or export operations
• Previous experience as an Export Coordinator, preferably within airfreight
• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding and customs terminology and processesExcellent customer service and relationship-building skills
• Strong airline negotiation and relationship management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Previous experience working with CargoWise
• Excellent attention to detail with strong planning and organisational skills
• The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
