We seek Exploration Geologists and Project Geologists to help build the foundations of Victoria's next gold discovery at Kilmore & Sunday Creek. These positions involve field programs, data interpretation, and mentoring junior geologists, with a 2-year fixed-term contract and on-site work at Kilmore and Sunday Creek.

Qualifications

We're growing our geology team at the Sunday Creek Gold Project and have opportunities for both Exploration Geologists and Project Geologists to help shape the discovery story from the ground up.

About the Role

These roles sit within our Exploration team at Sunday Creek, Kilmore. The Exploration Geologist focuses on diamond core logging, drill program support and target generation, while the Project Geologist takes day-to-day carriage of the project - coordinating field programs, managing budgets and mentoring junior geologists. Both roles are hands-on, technical and central to how we grow the discovery.

Job Responsibilities

What You'll Drive

• Working safely and promoting safe practices with colleagues and contractors
• Diamond core logging and sample management
• Assisting with or managing drill rig supervision, including multi-ric programs
• Assessing exploration results and recommending further work
• Generating and interpreting targets from geological, geochemical and geophysical data
• Geological modelling, data integration and interpretation
• Preparing technical reports and presentations
• For Project Geologist: coordinating field programs, managing budgets and reporting to senior management

Who You Are

You're a geologist who thrives on-site, whether you're early in your career or bring proven project leadership capability. You're safety-conscious, curious about the ground beneath you, and comfortable balancing technical rigour with the pace of an active exploration program.

Your Background

• Bachelor of Science in Geology (or equivalent)
• Relevant mineral exploration experience — from 2+ years through to 5+ years including project or program management, depending on the role
• Diamond core logging experience
• Experience in orogenic gold and/or Victorian geology viewed favourably
• Understanding of QAQC procedures, drilling and sampling practices, and standard gold industry laboratory analytical methods
• Knowledge of mining software (Leapfrog, QGIS, Micromine) desirable
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective planning, organisation and time management
• Experience supervising or mentoring exploration and graduate geologists (Project Geologist)
• Existing and ongoing permanent work rights in Australia (mandatory)
• Current Australian driver's licence, manual transmission

Reports to: Senior Geologist / Exploration Manager
