Job summary

Aeris Resources’ Cracow Gold Operations is seeking an Exploration Field Technician to support day-to-day exploration activities, including sample collection, core yard processing and field surveys. Reporting to the Field Supervisor, you will ensure targets are met on time and safely, with rigorous data entry and equipment upkeep.

You will undertake remote fieldwork, assist with earthworks, and support rehabilitation and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• MR/HR Licence is required.
• Ability to perform repetitive manual labour is essential.
• Proficient with data entry on laptops or digital pads.
• Strong safety awareness with a proactive safety approach.
• Attention to detail and methodical work style.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• High Risk forklift licence is highly regarded.
• First Aid certificate is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Collection of samples from RC drill rigs, including chip traying, sample dispatch, data entry.
• Core yard processing and cleanliness.
• Collection and processing of Diamond drill core trays: mark-up, cutting, sampling, density and logging.
• Remote fieldwork including soil geochemical surveys, mapping, rock chip sampling, and geophysical surveys.
• Assist with earthworks for drill pads and access tracks; ensure rehabilitation of disturbed areas meets environmental standards.
• Monitor, order and maintain consumables for mining and exploration drilling and field programmes.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and cultural heritage permitting and standards.

The Nitty Gritty

Reporting to the Field Supervisor you will be responsible for: supporting the day-to-day activities of the exploration team and ensuring targets and scheduled works are completed in set time frames and undertaken respectfully and safely

You will work to support, coordinate and ensure completion of:

• Collection of samples from RC drill rigs, including chip traying, sample dispatch, data entry in a timely and accurate manner.
• Core yard processing and cleanliness
• Collection of Diamond drill core trays from the drill rigs, drill core mark-up, drill core cutting, sampling, density determination, sample dispatch, geotechnical logging, and data entry in a timely and accurate manner.
• Remote fieldwork including soil geochemical surveys, mapping and rock chip sampling, and geophysical surveys.
• Assist with earthworks for drill pads and access tracks and also ensure the rehabilitation of surface disturbance areas is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with environmental standards, including maintenance of rehabilitation (rehab) records.
• Help monitor, order and maintain consumables for all mining and exploration drilling and field programmes.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and cultural heritage permitting, procedures, and standards.

What you’ll Bring:

• MR/HR Drivers Licence.
• The ability to perform repetitive manual labour activities is essential.
• Ability to use digital devices to complete Data Entry (laptop computer and/or digital pads)
• Self-discipline, motivation, and regulation.
