Job summary

Shepherds Landscapes in Kemps Creek, Sydney, is seeking an experienced landscaper/leading hand to join our growing team. You will set out and run landscaping projects, read plans and lead a team from start to finish, ensuring jobs are completed to a high standard, on time and safely.

This role offers full-time work across Western and South-Western Sydney, with opportunities to supervise and develop a subcontractor team, and to take on challenging residential and commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Must have relevant landscaping qualifications and solid industry experience.
• Current NSW Driver Licence is required.
• Ability to drive a manual vehicle.
• Proven experience setting out landscaping jobs.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans.
• Experience running and supervising a team.
• Experience with retaining walls, paving, planting, turfing, and general landscaping.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with good communication.
• Punctual, reliable and well presented.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in work.

Shepherds Landscapes is a growing landscaping company based in Kemps Creek, servicing new residential developments and private landscaping projects throughout Western and South-Western Sydney.

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Landscaper / Leading Hand to join our growing team.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who can confidently set out and run landscaping projects, read plans and lead a team from start to finish.

You will be responsible for ensuring jobs are completed to a high standard, on time and safely.

Skills & Experience Required

• Relevant landscaping qualifications and solid industry experience
• Current NSW Driver Licence
• Ability to drive a manual vehicle
• Proven experience setting out landscaping jobs
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans
• Experience running and supervising a team
• Experience in:
• Retaining walls
• Paving
• Planting
• Turfing
• General landscaping
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for completing jobs to a high standard
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Punctual, reliable and well presented
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work

Preferred – But Not Essential

• Excavator operating experience
• Truck licence
• Experience working on residential new-home landscaping projects
• We are also looking for experienced subcontractor landscaping teams who are capable of taking on complete landscaping projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for established teams looking for consistent work and the ability to be paid per completed job rather than hourly.

• Experienced landscaping team

• Reliable and punctual
• Good communication and professionalism
• Appropriate licences, insurances and business requirements
• Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines

Subcontractor teams will have the opportunity to take on projects at an agreed price per job, with weekly payments for completed work in accordance with agreed payment terms.

We have ongoing work available for the right teams and are looking to build long-term working relationships with reliable subcontractors.
