Job summary

Living Gems Pty Ltd on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Plant Operator/Labourer to join our Special Projects team. You will work hands-on to support high-end residential properties, coordinate deliveries, and keep sites organised, working closely with the Site Manager.

This casual role offers learning and development opportunities and potential progression to permanent employment, with a focus on reliability, initiative, and professional conduct on private home sites.

Qualifications

• Experience as Plant Operator/Labourer on residential sites.
• Hold required tickets and licences listed above.
• Willing to undergo a National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical support across highend residential properties.
• Coordinate deliveries and freight to sites.
• Keep sites and materials organised for the team.
• Assist Site Manager and construction crew to keep projects moving.
• Drive and operate plant equipment as required.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced, reliable, hands‑on Plant Operator/Labourer to join our Special Projects construction team and provide practical support across high‑end residential properties.

This is a varied role that goes well beyond general labouring and plant operating. Working closely with the Site Manager, you’ll be trusted to work autonomously, keep sites and materials organised, coordinate deliveries and freight, run errands and provide practical support to the construction team to keep projects moving.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is trustworthy, reliable and takes pride in their work
• Works well independently and can be relied upon to get the job done
• Has a hands‑on approach and is happy to get stuck in
• Can manage a varied workload and use initiative without needing constant direction
• Understands the importance of working respectfully and professionally in high‑end private homes
• Takes care of company equipment, materials, vehicles and client properties
• Is comfortable undertaking both physical labouring and logistical tasks
• Has good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Essential Requirements:

To be successful, you will need to hold the following

• CurrentAustralian Manual Drivers Licence
• Construction White Card
• Skid Steer Ticket
• Telehandler ticket/licence
• Forklift Licence
• Willing to undertake a National Police Check
